Gravity is omnipresent; Gravity is omnipotent; Gravity is incontrovertibly essential. The fundamentals that comprises you & I will be shaken at its roots without gravity. It is like a shackle wrapped around your ankle. It holds you down. It’s a constant weight that keeps you from taking a leap of faith. It’s pulling you away from what you believe you can do, and reminds you of all that you cannot do.
I do not claim to know an absolute answer, but my personal revelation is that gravity only has a hold over the physical realm. It does not have a hold over my thoughts, my feelings, my dreams or my beliefs – and hence, indubitably, it cannot hold down my heart. It might have made heavier the weight you bear on your shoulder, but ask for a broader shoulder instead of a lifted burden, because we can rely on God’s grace and strength to see us through. I can’t fly limitlessly but my dreams can; I can’t leap a hundred stories high but my heart can, I can’t see from the ground up to the sky but my God can. Just because I don’t see it, it doesn’t mean that my God didn’t envision it or intend for it to take off. My prayers have been heard, and gravity’s got no hold on me. It’s got no hold on my soul and surely it doesn’t have a hold on yours! Don’t be discouraged by the naysayers, but take heart and trust in God’s timing for them to take flight. The time is now: defy gravity, take a leap of faith and feel your deficient lungs rush with an onset of fresh air, because God's unending Grace and Love will see you through; His Hands are stretched and always ready to catch you.
